Become A Group Volunteer

Becoming a volunteer at one of our parent and child groups for under fives is a truly rewarding experience. It's an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and their parents, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.

As a volunteer, you'll have the chance to engage in activities, from playtime and crafts to cooking, singing songs sharing books with children, preparing snacks, taking part in a treasure hunt or den building activities outdoors – no two weeks are the same. You'll provide a valuable source of encouragement and assistance to parents, offering them a supportive community where they can share experiences and gain valuable insights into child development.

Volunteering at a group not only enriches the lives of the families but also provides you with a sense of fulfilment and the chance to witness the incredible growth and development of young children firsthand.

You don’t need to have parenting experience to volunteer at one of our groups and there is a full training session to attend to help you prepare for your role. We ask volunteers to commit to a regular group session which is usually once a week for 1-2 hours.

As well as our parent and child groups open to all parents with children under five years old we also run perinatal mental health and SEND groups which also need volunteers to help them to run.
